JUMBLE SELL OUT

Growing up in a single parent family with 3 siblings, times were tough and things were financially challenging. Most of our toys and clothes were hand-me-downs and second hand purchased from a jumble sale. As I’ve gotten older I developed a taste for the finer things in life. While holidaying in Europe recently I reflected on how I have ‘sold out,’ and have gone from one extreme to the other.

Upon my return to Melbourne. I decided to create a series of art using the leftover materials in my studio. I reflected on how to be more conscious of waste in work and in life. I reflected on how I have changed, good and bad.

This is ‘Jumble Sell Out.’
